Request For Proposals on Soil Mapping, Soil Testing and Ground Water Testing Services
Overview:
An Agricultural Company is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide soil mapping, soil testing and ground water testing services. The contracted firm or individual will be responsible for conducting these services on Subdivision “A” of Farm Number 715 in Chikumbi Area with the extent of 81.5 hectares, located in Chisamba District of Zambia meant for agricultural use. The stated location is approximately 40 kilometers from the Central Business District of Lusaka.
Description:
The scope of the work will include:
I. Soil Mapping: will involve locating and identifying the different soils on the said land, collecting information on their location, nature, properties and potential use, and recording this information on the map and in supporting documents to show the spatial distribution of every soil.
II. Soil Testing: will involve sampling and preparation using various sampling equipment to collect soil samples from different depths. This should be followed by laboratory analysis, interpreting results, and providing recommendations based on findings.
III. Ground Water Testing: will involve testing the volume as well as the quality of water required for irrigation purposes.
You will be required to work closely with the client’s managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of soil maps, soil tests and ground water test results.
Requirements:
Interested firms or individuals must have qualifications as well as experience in conducting similar services. In addition, as a minimum they should send proposed fee structure, proposed team, certificate of incorporation (for firms only) and references.
