Public Relations Officer
Job Description
Job Purpose
Develop strategies for PR campaigns and media relations.
Efficiently producing and effectively disseminating approved publicity materials (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.), developing good relationship with customers, stakeholders, and the media.
Handle media inquiries, keep track of media coverage, and keep up with industry trends.
Formulation of Public Relations policies and procedures.
Organize PR events (e.g., open days, press conferences) prepare and distribute press releases.
Ensuring customer satisfaction by managing customer relationship activities.
Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising.
Qualifications and Experience
Full Grade twelve (12) School Certificate with at least five (5) ‘O’ level credits including English language and Mathematics.
Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications, or a related field.
Computer literate – fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet.
At least 5 years working experience in a similar position.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), proactive and innovative, able to plan events, good organizational skills with an assertive attitude.
Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print);
Member of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication
