LOCATION: Mpongwe, Ndola, Kapiri Mposhi, Kitwe, Kabwe and Solwezi
GENERAL SUMMARY
This is a technical position that will be responsible coordinating the ZNYP+ Project Activities at district level so that they can be more effectively and efficiently contribute to the overall project activity implementation. S/he will be responsible for managing field & Client Service Associate in their respective district.
KEY RENSPONSIBILITIES
Support district chapters develop operational, annual work plans and other plans in line with the Project strategic plan.
Support provincial co-ordination meetings.
Facilitate annual programme review meetings for district chapters.
Support district chapters link with other co-ordination mechanisms.
Provide strategic, technical and programmatic support to all activity areas related to social mobilization in the relevant implementation district.
Lead engagement and effectively manage relationships with district-level stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, the National HIV/AIDS Council, and the private sector.
Coordinate implementation of the programme activities in the district
Provide representation for Project as appropriate and necessary with relevant internal and external counterparts, partners, and stakeholders.
Lead the implementation of district-level demand-creation and social mobilization interventions, including the Activity’s SBC campaigns.
Coordinate the roll-out and effective use of MOH and project-approved social behavioral change and social mobilization products and interventions.
Establish networks and strategic partnerships with MOH as well as other stakeholders to enable sustainable implementation of community-led social behavioral change and social mobilization activities.
Effectively and efficiently engage chiefdom, religious, community leaders and other influencers to increase demand.
Implement and adhere to ZNYP+ personnel, financial, operations and fraud management policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, consistent with project objectives.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, adult education, development studies or diploma in clinical medicine or public health nursing.
At least four (4) years experience in the area of community mobilization and SBC for HIV/AIDS, MNCH and RH/FP services and products.
Extensive knowledge and experience in implementing effective, and culturally appropriate SBC and social mobilization interventions.
Experience working with diverse populations and stakeholders, including adolescents, men and (private sector – an added advantage)
Must have excellent communication (English and language spoken in implementation district), interpersonal, analytical, decision-making, conflict management, empathetic, negotiation and networking skills.
