Job DescriptionDentro investment limited is an Agribusiness company that was incorporated in 2020. It is a start -up company that seeks to establish its investment in poultry farming and agro processing.We are looking for qualified individuals to fill in the following positions.Job PurposeAnimal/Poultry Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities as they relate to the successful running and managing of the poultry department, prioritizing tasks and budgeting allocation of machinery and workers for the farm in order to ensure smooth functioning of the department.Key Responsibilities:Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to) day to day management of the poultry and animals.Check the requirements of different resources like chicks, feed, equipment’s, man power, water, litter material etcPlan, organize, direct and control activities to achieve cost effective production which includes ensuring that the resources are received in time to achieve quality and required quantity of productionAssigning workers to daily tasks such as feeding, grooming animals, cleaning and maintaining their animal quarters and poultryPreparing and administering work orders, and scheduling production crew assignments,Planning and budgeting the purchase of animal and poultry feed and suppliesEnsuring that all the animals are in good health and should arrange for regular veterinary checkups as well as assigning caretakers to all the animals according to their capabilitiesMaintain farm records, such as mortality, maintenance schedules, estimated operating costs and monitoring of animal health/feeding requirementsEnsuring safety and efficiency of poultry farm operations.Manage personnel in order to produce a quality product in an efficient mannerEnsuring that all animals are fed on time and the food stocks are fullEnsuring work orders are completed on time and within budgetEnsuring production crew is trained on proper use and handling of chemicalsMonitor and manage facility equipment and repairs, addressing maintenance issuesRequired Competencies and Skills:High level of accuracyAnalytical skillsStrong leadership skillsExcellent verbal and oral communication skillsEducation/Training:Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Animal or Poultry Science, and/or equivalentDiploma in Agriculture with 4+ years Animal and Poultry experience.Self-motivated, reliable and able to work in a team environmentMethod of ApplicationThe suitable Candidate must be mature, self motivated and able to work independently.
