Right to Care is at the vanguard in supporting and delivering prevention, care, and treatment services for HIV and associated diseases. We work with government and communities to find pioneering solutions to build and strengthening public healthcare.

Our areas of expertise include HIV and TB care and treatment, pharmacy automation, medical male circumcision, and cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Right to Care Zambia has been awarded a five (5) year project funded by the USAID through the PEPFAR mechanism. The USAID – Action HIV project aims to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission by achieving the UNAIDS and PEPFAR goal of 95/95/95 HIV treatment coverage by providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment maintenance services in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia. The USAID Action HIV project will work closely with and in support of the Ministry of Health.
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:

Related Degree in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences
0-2 years’ experience in software development
Introductory experience in line with role (example server web front-end)
Knowledge of Web services.
Knowledge of Cloud Hosting, mobile applications, backend systems, POPI and other privacy considerations

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Defect detection rate: Applications developer should be able to effectively identify and address defects in a timely manner.
Time to resolve defects: Be able to resolve a defect from the time it is reported to the time it is fixed, quickly address issues, and minimize their impact on the project, effectively addressing the root cause of the problem.
Defect severity: Effectively identifying and addressing high priority issues relating to the severity of defects, such as critical, major, minor, or cosmetic and planning effectively what should be worked on.
Customer satisfaction: Customer satisfaction and effectively identifying or addressing issues that are important to customers and system users.
Code review coverage: Developer’s code to undergo a review process, indicating the level of comprehensiveness of the code review and enabling the detection of any areas that require more scrutiny and considering time taken for a code review to be completed efficiently, and providing feedback in a timely manner.
Code comprehension: Developer understanding the codebase and evaluated by examining how accurately and comprehensively they explain the code during the review process.
Code review feedback implementation rate: Providing insight into the effectiveness of the code review process and the level of buy-in from team members.
Defects found in system testing: Ensuring a lower number of defects indicated in the system and testing effectively while identifying or addressing issues before they reach production.
 Test case coverage: Executing test cases during system testing or higher test case coverage with comprehension and ensuring all parts of the system were tested.
Time to implement features: Focusing on planning to maximise shorter time implementation of features and helping the team to reduce the time it takes to deliver new functionality to users.
Time to resolve support tickets: The developer to consider time taken to resolve support tickets related to system testing and feature implementation. Providing a shorter time to resolve, support, efficiently and effectively addressing user issues.
Time to implement styling adjustments: Developer to consider the time taken in implementing front-end styling adjustments and helping to reduce the time it takes to deliver changes to users.
Cross-browser compatibility: Ensuring front-end styling adjustments are compatible with different browsers. And supporting effective delivering changes that work across multiple browsers.
Visual consistency: Maintain visual consistency with the rest of the application or website. A higher visual consistency and delivering changes that match the design language and brand guidelines.
Number of styling-related support tickets: support tickets relating to front-end styling adjustments, by lowering the number of styling-related support tickets in delivering changes that meet user needs and expectations.
