Assistant Manager – Finance

Zambia, Full Time Salary:

The purpose of this position is reviewing financial transactions, monitoring accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting finance management team with preparation and analysis of financial information. The role has a clear progression path which will be subject to the job holder’s ability to meet set performance targets.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparation and review of journal entries on a monthly basis
Review of supporting reconciliations to the trial balance
Preparation and interpretation of management accounts on a monthly basis
Review and approval of payment requisitions
Review and authorisation of payments
Preparation of financial information for internal and external audits
Review and preparation of budget inputs for annual budget
Assisting with cash-flow management
Supervising finance junior staff
Train and mentor finance junior staff
Liaising with management staff and other colleagues
Manage and coordinate resources in the finance department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Full ACCA/CIMA or ZICA or Bachelor of Accountancy
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
3 years work experience in external audit or financial services sector or any
related relevant experience.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
Should be very knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs)
Good knowledge of Financial Services regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent organization skills
