Job Description

GOLDENLAY IS THE LARGEST PRODUCER, SUPPLIER AND DISTRIBUTOR OF FRESH TABLE EGGS ACROSS THE REGION, BOASTING A BRAND FAMILIAR TO RETAIL CLIENTS AND CONSUMERS ALIKE. OUR FARM AND PRODUCTION FACILITIES ARE LOCATED JUST OUTSIDE LUANSHYA ON THE COPPERBELT.
WE ARE HEREBY INVITING SUITABLE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES TO FILL THE FOLLOWING VACANT POSITIONS:
1. Cashier
Responsibilities

Undertake the receipting and depositing of collected revenues
Full accountability of cash receipts and other allocated duties
 Accept and receipt cash and capture to details into SAGE accounting system
Assist Accounts officers to compile sales commissions
Assisting Accounts officer in the compilation of distribution costs (council levy and tolls)
Adjudication of stock counts as per roster
Disburse cash to Drivers and Salesperson proceeding on deliveries
 Reconciliation of deposits to bank statements and capturing of receipts to close sales transaction in POS and accounting system
 Attend to all related filing

Qualifications

Grade Twelve Certificate with credits or better in English and Mathematics
Preferably ZICA Technician or equivalent and will be an added advantage.
Strong mathematics and computer skills particularly Excel.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
Knowledge of sage software a plus.
Very strong written and oral communication skills.
 Not less that four experience in a similar position

2. Shop Keepers
Responsibilities

 The complete management of a sales depot
Accounting for stocks, sales, mobile sales personnel and managing their sales
Daily banking and reconciling of daily stocks with sales
Ordering and receiving of stock
Ensure stocks safely and securely stacked and able to follow FIFO
To manage stocks sales effectively and accurately daily at the depot to achieve set sales targets
Perform stock takes every morning and evening to reconcile with the receipts,
Sales and stocking
Able to use POS system
Safeguard all company assets and property

Qualifications

Grade Twelve Certificate with credits or better in English and Mathematics.
Certificate in Book keeping will be an added advantage.
Minimum of four years working experience, with experience in a similar position.

3. Data Entry Clerks
Responsibilities

Create excel spreadsheets to track important information
Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database
Update customer information in a database
 Organize existing data in a spreadsheet and graphs
Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers
Search for, investigate and analyze information as instructed
 Input text-based and numerical information from source documents into online systems
Provide occasional administrative support
Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically
Review data for deficiencies or error
Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry
Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis
Type in data quickly and efficiently with a good understanding on Microsoft excel In a database.

Requirements and skills

Grade 12 School Certificate with Five (5) Credits or better

Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications

ZICA technician or equivalent
Proven experience as data entry clerk.
Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred.
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
Strong attention to detail
 Working knowledge of office equipment

4. Sales Representatives
Responsibilities

Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
Contact new and existing customers ensuring they are registered and using the ordering via the app
Emphasize the apps features to maximize legitimate sales
Must be able to travel to new markets
Carry out stock takes at depots throughout the company
Collaborate with colleagues where necessary to efficiently supply customers
Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships
Process transactions (invoicing and delivery notes for formal outlets) in expedite delivery.
Collect customer orders, process sales, transactions through the POS system
Prepare customer sales dispatch scheduling for informal outlets Depots and  truck Sales

Qualifications

Full grade 12 certificate
Must have a Certificate/Diploma in Accounts/Marketing or Information Technology
Must be computer literate with better skills in MS applications i.e., Excel, Word
At-least 4 years work experience with a clean record
A mature and responsible individual preferably aged 25 years and above
Proven record of achieving targets.

Other Skills

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Good communicator, able to work in a multi-cultural environment
Stable personality with passion for sales and marketing
Team player able to work with minimum supervision
Leadership, managerial skills, integrity and be honest
Fast leaner and easy to adapt to new environments.
