JOB VACANCIES
Harvest University wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions.
1. CHIEF LIBRARIAN
The Chief Librarian will report to the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Aca-demic Affairs) and must provide a wide variety of library and academic learning services to the university.
I. THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate must hold a minimum of Masters’ degree in Library studies with at least five (5) years’ experience as Librarian, and should possess the following attributes:
– Must be a person of good character and integrity.
– Must have a track record that is acknowledged nationally and internationally by the academic communities through collaborations, peer-reviewed publications, book and chapter reviews, as well as through professional memberships and ser-vice.
– Provide a wide variety of library and academic learning services to the university
– Be familiar with reputable online information databases for various academic and professional fields (such as environmental and public health; medicine; nurs-ing; business administration; theology; etc).
– Provide administrative and student support
II. REMUNERATION
The university offers a competitive remuneration package to the individual ap-pointed to this position
III. TENURE
The Chief Librarian is appointed for an initial period of three (3) years which could be renewed for a similar period, subject to performance.

2. MARKETING MANAGER
The Marketing Manager will report to the Registrar and MUST be a sales-minded person able to market the university both locally and internationally.
I. THE CANDIDATE
The well-qualified applicant should hold a minimum of Bachelors’ degree in Mar-keting, Business Administration, or any other relevant field. Expertise in Project Management will be an added advantage. The applicant must also possess the following qualities:
– Must be an Innovative thinker
– Must be a person of good character and integrity
– Must be an Effective Communicator
– Must be Courageous in taking risks
II. REMUNERATION
The university offers a competitive remuneration package to the individual who will qualify for the position.
III. TENURE
The Marketing Manager will be appointed for an initial period of three (3) years which could be renewed for a similar period, subject to performance
LOCATION
Location for both positions is Lusaka, Zambia.
