The Judiciary is an arm of Government of the Republic of Zambia. Its mission is administer justice to in its quest to improve service delivery, all in an independent, impartial, competent and timely manner the Judiciary is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:
Chief Procurement and Supplies Officer (JSSI) 1 Position (Lusaka, Central Administration)
Job Purpose
To supervise the procurement and supply cf goods. services and works in order to facilitate availability, distribution and storage.
Specific Duties and Requirements
a) Supervises effectively the development and implementation of the procurement plan in order to guide the procurement process and facilitate decision making.
b) Supervises efficiently the provision of secretarial services to the Judiciary Procurement committee in order to facilitate smooth conduct of meetings.
c) Supervises timely and accurately the preparation of bidding documents to ensure transparency in tendering procedures and facilitate compliance with laid down procedures.
d) Supervises timely procurement of goods, services and works in order to meet end user requirements.
e) Supervises timely implementation of perfcrmance management systems in order to monitor and evaluate performance
f) Supervises effectively human and other resources in order to attain the objectives of the section,
Qualifications and Experience
a) Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with at least five (5) ‘O’ level credits or better including English
b) Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing end Supply or equivalent.
c) Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
d) Five (5) years’ experience.
e) Must not be above the age of forty-five (45) years.
