Coordinator, Ancillary

Overall Job Purpose This role will be to improve the reliability and availability of the Ancillary fleet by leading and assessing the maintenance plan and team effectiveness and executing the maintenance plan to the required standard. Specific Job Responsibility The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;Maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness. Promote and comply with the KML Occupational Health & Safety Policy.Assist in monitoring and report on the condition of equipment.Carry out planned machine and statutory inspections.Assess and coach competency skills attainmentAssist to identify continuous improvement opportunities.Assist to measure and report overall maintenance performanceActively promote full cooperation between the maintenance and mining operations.Assist to prepare and control cost budgets for Ancillary mobile maintenance teams.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the maintenance processes and systems.Cooperate with the maintenance planners regarding input schedules and accurate information.Ensure the development of up to date job procedures for all tasks performed within the function.Accountability for completion of all tasks identified in the CMMS to the specified quality and timelines as assigned to this role. Job Specific Competencies MS OfficeKnowledge of Pronto or other CMMS is an advantageExperience in managing and development of weekly, equipment overhaul and shutdown schedules through Microsoft ProjectExperience in large multi pit operations utilising large scale mining mobile (Ancillary) equipment such as Loaders WA600, WA900, Graders 825A, Dozers D475A, Trucks 785C and HD785, ADTs Volvo and CAT.Demonstrable experience with maintenance management systems and RCA will be a significant advantage.Experience in Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) audits and analysisExperience in budgeting process and cost controls for maintenance departmentGenerate reports on machine availability through the use of a recognized CMMS preferably Pronto Key Job AttributesAble to handle work with a great sense of professionalismPossesses good organizational skillsGood oriented personDevelopment and maintaining of the equipment strategies workflow process on mobile equipmentGood computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications.Coaching and mentoring of subordinates.Assessing employees in structured skills assessment FQML process.Offer support to supervisor positions so to be able to assess work place efficiencies and provide guidance to workplace supervisorsMaintain a professional approach to duties and responsibilities with the capability of making timely, rational decisions and an ability to meet deadlines.Act with honesty and integrity in all areas: maintain confidentiality in dealings with subordinates, clients and customers.Commitment to reach or exceed maintenance, operational and safety goals.Sound planning, analytical, and problem solving skills. Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge and understanding of diverse third world cultures and customs an advantage. Experience required to perform in this jobMinimum Ten (10) years maintenance planning and engineering experience in the mining industry especially on Equipment mentioned above.Should be conversant with electrical or the mechanical side of ancillary equipmentExperience in mining or other heavy industry.
