A reputable Poultry Group of companies is looking for an experienced Rearing Farm Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible manager for preparing houses, vaccinations, weighing up to transfer of point of lay birds. Managing and buying vaccines. The person must also be computer skilled to capture daily results

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Reporting To: General Manager
Supervision Of: Poultry staff
Interacts With: Clients, Staff

JOB DESCRIPTION

Preparing houses
Manage 4 Environmental houses, housing 30000 chickens each
Administer vaccinations
Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Experience: 7 years
Education Level: Diploma Level
Qualifications: Agricultural Science or related
Software: MS office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Environmental houses and poultry business
Skills To: Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability To: The ability to make decisions in stressful environments
Other Requirements: At least 5 years experience in Poultry Management
