Pridegems Mines Limited, an Emerald mining industry situated in Lufwanyama, Copperbelt, is seeking a qualified and experienced Drills Technician to join our vibrant and goal-oriented team. If you possess a strong technical background in drilling equipment’s and a commitment to safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you!
Role Summary
Reporting to the Drills Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day to day management of all drilling equipment’s tasks associated with the specific outlines in the duties and ensuring these are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:

Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Drill Technology or a related field.
Must be above 25 years old.
Possession of a valid silicosis certificate.
Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
Minimum of 3 years mining experience
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Proven experience in drilling equipment maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain drilling equipment according to safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on drilling machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and technical issues related to drilling operations.
Collaborate with the drilling team to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills.
Willingness to work off-site as required
