Driver
Forlan Logistics Limited is a dynamic and progressive company looking to fill the position of Driver on a full time basis. As a successful hire, you will be tasked with the following.
Responsibilities
Safely drive assigned office vehicles by following set rules and regulations.
Transport people to their destinations, or handle office pick-up duties, and deliver parcels and documents.
Perform daily inspections on all assigned vehicles, at the beginning of each day.
Ensure that cars are properly cleaned and maintained and that any need for repairs is outlined and reported.
Receive items and documents for transport and ensure that they are safely transported to their destinations.
Maintain contact with the team or team member to ensure that he or she is made aware of delivery or transport situation.
Perform preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles and ensure that proper detailing is performed
Transport staff and/or packages to and from destinations timely and correctly.
Arrive at destinations on schedule
Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.
Research and plan for traffic and weather delays
Use navigation applications to determine the best route to take in ensuring that timelines are met.
Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
Requirements
Basic technical knowledge of mechanics
At least 7 years driving experience in an organization.
Class B valid driving licence.
No adverse record of traffic violations
Passionate about great service
Good English command both reading and writing
Resident of Kaunda square stage 1 or Ngombe a must
Skills and Competencies
Good communication skills
Punctual and reliable.
Excellent geographical knowledge of Lusaka roads and routes.
