Electrical Technician Ref No. ET/VY/25/10/21
Reports to Electrical Technologist. The incumbent carries out regular solar system inspections on general faults/defects.
Main duties
Tests and repairs solar electrical systems as routine maintenance service.
Repairs or replaces defective solar system parts by removing components such as charge controllers, batteries, circuit breakers panels etc; checks them and repairs/replaces as required.
Provides timely status reports on each solar installation/maintenance to the Supervisor.
Performs a wide variety of general solar power system installations, maintenance and repairs.
Cleans and maintains solar equipment for the efficient performance of solar power generators.
May assist in stocking, unloading and delivery of solar equipment supplies.
Qualifications
Full Grade 12 Certificate
Advanced Certificate in Electrical Engineering
Atleast 2 years relevant work experience.
Must be practicing member of Engineering Institute of Zambia(EIZ)
Good analytical skills with ability to make sound judgment and decisions
Results-oriented and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be computer proficient
Possessing a clean driver’s license Class C will be at an advantage.
