Invitation for Expression of Interest by consultancy firms or individuals – Gender Integration Training for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
Pact is a non-profit international development organization founded in 1971 and headquartered in the Washington DC in the United States. Pact works in forty (40) countries globally and envisions a world where everyone owns their future and to do this, Pact builds systemic solutions in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and government so that communities we serve are heard, capable and vibrant.
Pact is currently implementing the USAID Controlling HIV Epidemic for Key and Under-served Populations – USAID CHEKUP I Project. The project is a five-year United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded with a goal to improve the health outcomes of Zambians by preventing new infections among Priority Populations and Key Population most at risk of acquiring HIV infection. The project is being implemented in Livingstone, Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, Luanshya, Chingola, Mufulira, Chililabombwe and Solwezi districts. CHEKUP I is being implemented by a consortium of organizations led by the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia – CIDRZ as the Prime Organization with Pact Zambia being a sub partner providing technical assistance to the implementing NGOs/CSOs.
As part of its objectives and in order to contribute to the national goal of reducing new HIV infections, Pact Zambia builds the capacity of CHEKUP I implementing partners to ensure gender mainstreaming/integration in HIV programming and in its organizational and governance system.  Additionally, builds staff understanding of the key gender issues and foster an enabling environment for strategically and sustainably integrating gender issues throughout the organization’s operations and program activities. This process consists of a set of complementary and participatory activities including assessing organizations’ needs, building internal capacity through training and mentorship and strategy development for gender integration.
CHEKUP I is therefore inviting expressions of interest from consultancy firms that can provide training in gender mainstreaming/integration for four (4) CHEKUP I implementing organizations.
Information required for EOI by consultancy firms:
Interested consultancy firms should submit “Expression of Interest – Gender Integration Training” enclosing the information listed below.
1. Full legal name and address of applying institution.
2. Copy of valid legal registration in the country.
3. Mandate or mission statement of organization.
4. Statement of organization’s expertise in the relevant area.
5. Short description of the organization’s experience in the subject matter area, including training provided in the past and how this task will be accomplished (Maximum 2 pages).
6. Tax registration details
Applications must be received by or before 14th April 2023 (by 17 hours), marked “Gender Integration Training for CHEKUP I partners” via the following e-mail address: [email protected].org. Applications received after this date and time will not be accepted. Consultancy firms expressing interesting MUST have a physical and operational presence in Zambia. The EOI must be written in English. Upon receipt of the above information from prospective consultancy firms, Pact will evaluate, pre-assess and shortlist applicants.
