Job Description

Our client, a primary school located in the farming region of Mkushi seeks to recruit for the Foundation Phase Teacher to be responsible for providing teaching and training services to children.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Supervision Of: Self
Interacts With: Management, Children, Stakeholders
JOB DESCRIPTION
Lesson preparation
Keep up to date with new teaching methods and teaching aids
Develop students interests, abilities and co-ordination through activities
Discuss every childs progress with the parents/guardians
Guide and supervise the work in class
Maintain discipline and order in the classroom
Work with the parents/guardians
Maintain records
Take part in staff meetings, educational conferences and other programmes
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 4 years plus
Education Level: Diploma Level
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications from a recognized institution, foundation phase will be an added advantage
Software: Microsoft office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Specialized in the early foundation years
Skills To: Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written
Ability To: Managing a range of approaches to learning to support pupils with SEN (special educational needs)
Other Requirements: Must be willing to participate in extra-curricular activities
