We are looking to recruit a General Manager for a milling company whose core responsibilities will be to improve efficiency and increase departmental profits while managing the company’s overall operations. They oversee several elements in the business, including hiring staff, operating budgets, and launching price promotions that could attract more customers.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of the plant.
Design strategy and set goals for growth.
Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
Set policies and processes.
Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
Direct the employee assessment process.
Prepare regular reports for upper management.
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
Train staff members on company and mill operations
Direct daily operations in the mill
Forecast and schedule procurement.
Monitor inventory.
Performance benchmarking
Manage employees, taking into consideration their needs and push them to improve performance when needed.
In charge of attracting, hiring and retaining staff.
Support company’s overall business objectives

Qualifications

BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus.
Proven experience as a General Manager of at least 5 years in similar executive role
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
Strong analytical ability
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
