The Zen-Concepts Graduate Trainee program is an in-house initiative aimed at developing company-specific competencies by identifying highly talented recent graduates with either Diploma or bachelor’s degrees from reputable institutions and developing them for the future reservoir of professional experienced, and knowledgeable individuals.
The trainees will be under an experienced mentor and follow through with a structured development program. The trainee will further provide raw talent which can be shaped into the desired Zen Concepts skill set.
Graphic Design Trainee Job Description.
The Graphic Designer Trainee will shadow the senior Graphics designer and receive training and industry insights aimed at equipping them with competencies that will set them apart to excel in the working
industry.
Applicants must be recent Graduates in any Graphics designing-related courses or major and must be able to demonstrate core competencies with graphic design or illustration. In this role, you will help experienced designers develop and execute concepts while gaining professional experience.
While this is an entry-level role, we expect applicants to have a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite and experience will be an added advantage.
You must submit a portfolio of work to be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct client research
Help develop and execute design concepts
Complete pre-press work
Assist with administrative tasks as necessary
Liaising with AM to determine their requirements, timescale, and budget.
Managing client proposals, from typesetting to graphic design, print, and production.
Working with clients’ ideas and managing their expectations.
Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts, including making decisions about fonts, images, readability, and readers’ needs.
Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size.
Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief.
Keeping up to date, listening to and acting on feedback, and explaining the rationale behind graphic design decisions.
Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required.
Keeping up to date with design and software trends.
Liaising with external printers or production teams to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed or presented to the highest quality.
Able to work under pressure
Self-motivated

Requirements and Qualifications

Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
Collaboration skills
An eye for detail
Diploma or Degree in any Creative studies or related fields
Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software.
Exceptional creativity and innovation.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
Professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines.
