The Judiciary is an arm of Government of the Republic of Zambia. Its mission is administer justice to in its quest to improve service delivery, all in an independent, impartial, competent and timely manner the Judiciary is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:
Head-procurement and Supplies (JSS12)1 Position (Lusaka, Central Idminislration)
Job Purpose
To manage the procurement and supply of goods, services and works in order to facilitate availability, distribution and storage.
Specific Duties and Requirements
a) Manages effectively the development and implementation of the procurement plan in order to guide the procurement process and facilitate decision making.
b) Manages efficiently the provision of secretarial services to the Judiciary Procurement Committee in order to facilitatc smooth conduct of meetings.
c) Manages timely and accurately the preparation of bidding documents to ensure transparency in tendering proceduæs and facilitate compliance with laid down procedures.
d) Manages timely procurement of gcods, services and works in order to meet end user requirements.
e) Manages effectively the storage and distribution of goods, in order to ensure availability and safety.
f) Manages periodically stock controls in order to facilitate implementation of appropriate interventions.
g) Manages timely and accurately maintenance of records in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information.
h) Manages timely implementation of performance management systems in order to monitor and evaluate performance.
i) Manages effectively human and other resources in order tc attain the objectives ofthe section.
Qualifications and Experience
a) Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with at least five (5) ‘O’ level credits or better including English.
b) Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
c) Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
d) Eight (8) years’ experience with 3 years at management.
e) Must not be above the age of forty-five (45) years.
