ABATTOIR ASSISTANT – MASTER PORK (X1)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
Trimming, boning and slicing carcasses so they are ready for sale or further processing
Packaging of meat products and processing of by-products
Cutting standard cuts of meat for marketing
Deboning
Making sausage; preparing meats for salting; and wrapping meats
Qualifications
Grade 9/12 certificate
One-year job experience

PACKAGING ASSISTANTS – MASTER PORK (X2)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
Ensuring that before packing, the product is wholesome and meets quality specs e.g. size, colour, weight, and temperature, etc.
Ensuring that correct packaging material is used for specific packing operations.
Ensuring timely packaging of products following the 20minute rule of cold chain maintenance.
Products come into pack area, get packed and put back into cold store within 20 minutes.
Ensuring that packing specs are followed at all times. These include standard MP specs as well as customer specifications.
Ensuring that fixed mass products are always correctly weighed. No overs/under and give always.
Ensuring that personal health, safety, hygiene, food safety practices, regulations and procedures as well as good housekeeping are maintained at all times.
Qualifications
Grade 9/12
Previous experience in packaging
Any manufacturing role

MACHINE OPERATORS – MASTER PORK (X3)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
Machine set up and control operation of a production machine
Monitoring and performing routine checks of systems to ensure lines are running smoothly
Coordinating production run with packaging and ingredients
Maintaining cross-functional interaction with production colleagues, quality and maintenance technicians and supervisors regarding any production requirements or issues that may arise.
Ensuring and monitoring that the product conforms to quality specifications
Ensuring production schedule is being followed at all times
Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and
Health and Safety
Maintaining a clean work station and reporting any unsafe conditions
Preparing production reports and maintain all documentation records
Qualifications
Grade 12 full certificate
At least 2 years work experience in a similar position
Attributes
Quick learner with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a period of time.
Ability to follow standard operational procedures and work in a safe manner
Physically fit
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Demonstrates dependability, conscientiousness and punctuality
Genuine concern for health and safety
Able to multi task
