Our Client in the Aviation Industry is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position below.
1. MANAGER BUSINESS CONTINUITY & IMPROVEMENT (x1)
This role reports to the Director Corporate Strategy & Planning. The job holder will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing the Company’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). The manager will support all business plan activities necessary to enable the Company to manage a crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for Business Continuity Planning Programme (BCP). The position’s primary goals will be to identify, document, and test business needs against the Company’s infrastructure and identify recovery strategies and gaps. Further, the Manager will identify strategic risks, undertake business process assessments and impact analysis for all departments in line with the functional policies, strategies, operational plans, standards, and in alignment with the overall strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with all Heads of Departments and Units to develop, maintain and periodically update a Corporate-wide BCP program that addresses business recovery and emergency response management;
Designs and outlines BCP goals, objectives, and scope for business plans and Crisis Management;
Liaises with BCP Coordinators to develop effective working relationships and documented BCP plans, identify gaps, set recovery time objectives, and convey policies;
Conducts and periodically review Business Impact Analysis encompassing all core processes;
Monitors and reviews the performance and effectiveness of the Business Continuity Management System;
Facilitates execution of the plan and support plan navigation for the business at the time of an event;
Supports Crisis Management Committee with critical components of the plan in order that they can make critical decisions;
Provides visibility and reporting to the Crisis Management Committee on the critical functions, individuals, and infrastructure within the business plans;
Undertakes systems and process audits in order to identify risks and bottlenecks in the operations of the Corporation and effective implementation of the business continuity strategy;
Implements Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) activities to improve business process efficiencies and service delivery;
Champions change management activities to promote the adoption of reforms;
Facilitates the establishment and implementation of the BIG DATA intelligence environment and access to third-party information for analysis and facilitate decision making;
Establishes and maintain a centralized Corporate database with relevant statistics for decision making;
Identifies, executes, and reports on all Corporate research work;
Formulates Incident Management Escalation Framework for the Company;
Monitors risks that might affect the attainment of strategic objectives or be disabling to the Corporation;
Facilitates the identification and management of strategic risks of the Corporation;
Ensures timely identification, execution, and reporting of Business Continuity Management concerns to the Director; and
Effectively manages and periodically updates the strategic risk register.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Grade 12 with full School Certificate or G.C.E ‘O’ Level with a minimum of five credits or better which must include English language and  Mathematics;
University Degree in any social science discipline or Professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or related fields;
Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in a related job;
At least 5 years post qualifying experience in the aviation industry will be an added advantage;
Membership to any international Institute of Risk Management will be an added advantage; and
Knowledge and understanding of ISO 22301 will be an added advantage.
