Greenstretch Consultants Zambia Limited (GCZL) is a duly registered company, specialising in Environmental Consulting and Waste management Services.
GCZL was established in 2018 with the mission of providing top quality services and solutions that promote sustainability, circular economy and regulatory compliance.
The company intends to provide consulting services, to undertake feasibility studies and ESIA studies for the proposed transmission project in Zambia and three (3) neighbouring countries.
The project will include the review of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), therefore we are looking for local experts meeting the requirements below:
1. Ecology Specialist (Flora & Fauna)
– An undergraduate degree in conservation management, botany, biology or similar.
– At least 10 years of professional experience in conducting ecological surveys and assessing impacts of infrastructure projects – focusing on plant and animal life – as well as developing alternatives, mitigation measures and implementation monitoring.
– Experience working with Governments, national utilities, environmental management regulatory authorities, private sector organisations in the electricity sector; international financial institutions (IFIs), multilateral development banks (MDBs), commercial financial institutions (CFIs) and/or official development agencies (ODAs). Experience with the African Development Bank will be an added advantage.
– Relevant experience in at least three (3) African countries
– Experience in conducting and reviewing ESIA and EPB
– Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
2. Avifauna Specialist
– An undergraduate degree in biology, conservation management or similar.
– At least 10 years of professional experience in conducting impacts of infrastructure projects on birdlife – with emphasis on overhead transmission lines – as well as developing alternatives and monitoring the implementation of mitigation measures.
– Experience working with Governments, national utilities, environmental management regulatory authorities, private sector organisations in the electricity sector; international financial institutions (IFIs), multilateral development banks (MDBs), commercial financial institutions (CFIs) and/or official development agencies (ODAs). Experience with the African Development Bank will be an added advantage.
– Relevant experience in at least three (3) African countries.
– Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
3. Archeological Specialist
– Undergraduate degree in archaeology
– at least 10 years of experience in similar assignments.
