Job Description

Duties of a receptionist:
Welcomes our notable clients to the hotel.
To answer all our incoming calls from our clients
Checks in and our out guests
Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, and effectively assists the hotel’s guests.
Arranges for special services requested by the customer
To receive cash on behalf of the company and safeguard it before it can be handled over to the cashier.
To issue invoices and receipts to any cash or Company cheques received from our clients.
Perform all daily reception tasks (check-in, check-out, reservations, billing inquiries, etc.) using the computer.
You will be able to operate the switchboard, credit card machines and our Television system
You should be aware, at all times, of the current room status and room availability.
You will be required to do a daily report in our specified format.
Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
You are not allowed to offer any credit facility to any client without any authorisation.
You should always do the handovers properly without fail.
Qualifications:
You should be between the ages 27- 35 years
Full grade Twelve (12) is a Must
Computer literate proficient in Microsoft word and excel
Certificate or diploma General hospitality or Diploma in public relations or front office operations.
Must have own resident in Ndola.
Must be very fluent in English
