Job title: Enterprise Quality Improvement & Risk Manager
Location: Lusaka
Objective:
Support organization on identification of any potential risks to the profitability, safety, security or existence of the company; and propose and implement quality improvement processes to increase growth and protect organization
As QI/Risk Manager you will be responsible for managing the risk and quality improvement for the organization, its employees, customers, reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders.    You will identify and assess threats and opportunities of the organisation and put plans in place to improve performance of organization and also mitigation strategies for if things go wrong and decide how to avoid, reduce or transfer risk.
Areas of QI/Risk Manager
You may work in a variety of sectors and specialize in a number of areas, including:
business continuity
enterprise risk
financial management and accounting risk
information and security risk
market, debt and credit risk
regulatory and operational risk
technology risk
Responsibilities:
Plan, design and implement an overall risk management, quality assurance and quality improvement process for the organization.
Make risk assessments, which involves analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business
Evaluate risk, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organisation such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluate previous handling of risks
Establish and quantify the organisation’s risk profile
Report risk in a routine report
Undertake corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders
Carry out processes of reviewing and approval of financial and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct audits of policy, compliance to standards, supporting documentation for financial transactions and performance reports, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation.
Coordinates the development, implementation and revision of the quality improvement (QI) projects to meet the needs of clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
Provides QI leadership and consultative services to staff in effectively achieving performance and accreditation and organizational compliance for QI activities.
Organizes, compiles, and reports QI data for departments and units to identify trends, establish priorities, and recommend improvement activities.
Performs comprehensive, concurrent, and retrospective reviews in a timely manner, using criteria developed and approved by senior management.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is a must have, post graduate degree will be added advantage in the following fields:

Accounting
Finance or economics
Management or business studies
Risk management
Work experience

Candidates with audit experience at an audit or consulting firm is an advantage.  Experience with public sector audit, internal audit and international donor-funded projects and US foreign assistance regulations is also an added advantage but not requirement.

Commercial awareness and the ability to understand broad business issues.
