Investrust Bank Plc (IBP) is looking for a suitably qualified, vibrant and self-motivated individual to fill the position that has fallen vacant below.
Position Title: Security Officer
Grade: IBP4
Department: Human Resource and Administration
Location: Head Office
Reports to: Administration Manager
JOB PURPOSE
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for IBP’s employees and clients and is responsible for managing and coordinating the security network of IBP to mitigate against acts that may result in loss of life, infliction of harm, property damage, and disruption of the flow of operations that may interferewith the delivery of the IBP’s mandate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in the development of the securitystrategy and policy and supports implementation.
Undertakes periodic security risk assessment todetermine and plan for key priority areas.
Delivers security solutions for the Bank within the agreed framework and implementation of security processes across IBP.
Implements and manages comprehensive safety and security education and awareness programs for employees and security personnel based at the Head Office and Branch Offices and prepares incident written reports on all significant incidents happening in the Bank.
Maintains key contact with law enforcement agencies and other relevant departments e.g. Legal and Fraud Investigations, other criminal matters relating to institutions to support investigations pertaining to security matters.
Develops daily reports including daily occurrence reports, transit reports, background check reports, VIP protection reports, and safety and security reports.
Ensures the safety and security of all IBP assets including third party assets in the custody of IBP and ensures the movement of assets is done in accordance with laid down procedures.
Coordinates and supervises implementation of security activities delegated to hired security officers or Guards.
Ensures all security systems are fully functional and deployed at the Bank’s premises at any given point, including Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Panic Buttons, Biometric, intruder alarm and contracted security personnel.
Conducts incidents response planning as well as investigation of security breaches and prepares incident reports and monthly activity reports.
Conducts surveillance using the approved technology and methodology including Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
Assists in the management of cash transit by monitoring security to prevent loss of cash and injury to IBP staff and clients.
Works closely with assigned external agencies to ensure awareness of current security issues and communicates the same using the approved IBP communication channels.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ with credit or better in Mathematics and English.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Criminology, or related Degree from a recognized University.
Formal Police or Military Training / Certificate or
Diploma in Criminology
Minimum of not less than three (3) years’ experience in Zambia Police, Correctional Services, Military or Intelligence Security Services, or Corporate Security Management at officer level.
