Employment Opportunity
Newrest Zambia is looking for a Stores Supervisor to be responsible for efficient management of the activities of the stores including delivery and stores staff for the receipt, storage and delivery of all products stocked by the Company, to ensure that all activities meet or exceed agreed service levels and comply with the written processes and policies of the Company. Furthermore, the incumbent would ensure that goods are received as per the purchase orders and are of excellent quality, and correct required temperatures when any products are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Stores

Provides necessary information to generate food cost figures
Assists in maintaining a clean and well-organised warehouse and ensures that all Company Health & Safety policies and procedures are maintained
Monitors all orders, incoming stock and stock issued.
Manages and organises inventory by using FEFO/FIFO register
Administers and actions monthly & other stock counts
Ensures that stock is issued as per the requirements.
Prepares orders for delivery in accordance with picking orders, operation requirements and vehicle loading procedures
Follows daily stock replenishment, applies strict adherence of picking rules on FIFO/FEFO of (first in, first out principle) to all stocks and first expiry first out
Monitors the temperature of all stores and reports unacceptable deviations immediately to avoid damaged product.
Regularly surveys the stores for leakages, damage, pest infestation and hygiene and reports such to the Quality Manager/ General Manager.
Monitors the use of storage space and advises where stock can be compressed repositioned to make better use of the space available.
Operates with due regard to the safety of all personnel and products.
Completes all documentation within the required time and maintains all records requested.
Ensures all products in stores are set as per Winrest Requirements.
Flags stock that is due to expire to avoid it being expired and un-used
Ensures that the wastage report is done daily and given to the General Manager
Ensures all shortages are reported daily

Receiving

At the start of shift, the purchase orders for the current day needs to be received from the Buyer to ensure all orders received can be checked versus stock ordered.
Counts, weighs or measures items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, orders, bills of lading or other records
Ensures that the goods are received at the correct quantity
Ensures that goods are received at the correct temperatures
Ensures that goods are received at the best quality
Ensures that goods are rejected if the criteria is not met
Ensures credit notes are completed for rejected goods.
Checks that all delivery vehicles are at the required temperatures and in a clean state and reports any variances to the General Manager and Quality Manager.
Ensures that all administration work for receiving, is up to date and provided to Finance for billing purposes
Ensures that the invoices are captured.
Responsible for monitoring the returns process and finalizing all credit notes
Verifies receipts and log them according to required procedures
Investigates and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented in the daily receipt log
Ensures that goods are dispatched timeously once received, to the correct stores for the required food group
Ensures workstation is kept tidy and hygienic at all time
Takes responsibility for the quantities & quality of the products received
Extensive Communications to other departments regarding stock shortage, expired stock, etc.
Attends to extra additional, adhoc orders and received stock
When receiving the goods, the following needs to be checked before taking the stock into the company possession.

Ø  Check stock received versus stock ordered
Ø  Check quality received and call the Manager, Chef or Supervisor if unsure of Quality
Ø  Check if the PO date is correct
Qualifications and Experience Required

Diploma in Stores Management, Value Chain Supply, Business Administration or Equivalent
Proven three (3) years of work experience as a Stores Controller/ Supervisor in the Catering or Food Production Industry.
Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge
The candidate must have a strong drive for results
The successful candidate will have proven analytical skills and financial acumen, as well as a methodical approach to problem-solving teamed with a drive for results
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Demonstrate competence to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks to completion.
Work attitude that exhibits flexibility, drive, good judgement, dependability and ambitions
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
