Job Description

A tank welder is a skilled professional who specializes in welding large metal tanks used for storing liquids or gases, such as oil, water or chemicals. They must have extensive knowledge of welding techniques and safety protocols to ensure the tanks are durable and safe.
Responsibilities:

Perform welding duties in the construction, repair, and maintenance of tanks and vessels
Perform quality control checks to ensure welding meets industry standards and specifications
Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools
Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working in hazardous work environments
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within scheduled deadlines
Stay updated on industry advancements and new welding techniques

Requirements:

Tank welding experience and knowledge of welding techniques
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces
Attention to detail and ability to inspect welds for quality and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with welding equipment and tools, including cutting torches and grinders
Strong communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments
A valid certificate in welding is preferred.
A minimum of 1 year experience as a Tank welder.
Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
