Job Description: Technical Sales Executive – Water Pumping and Solar Engineering
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Technical Sales Executive with a strong background in water and solar engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of our water and solar engineering solutions through effective technical sales strategies, client relationship management, and industry expertise. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable and innovative solutions in the water and solar engineering sector.
Duties and responsibilities
Identify and target potential clients within the water and solar engineering sector, including individuals, municipalities, Agricultural and commercial and industrial sectors.
Understand client needs and present tailored solutions that align with our products and services, focusing on water pumping, water treatment, solar energy systems, and related technologies.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing expert technical advice, conducting product presentations, and offering solutions to meet specific project requirements.
Collaborate closely with our technical teams to ensure a deep understanding of our engineering solutions and their application in various projects.
Create and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations that effectively communicate the value proposition of our water and solar engineering products.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights that contribute to the development of our sales strategies.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand the company’s presence and foster relationships within the water and solar engineering community.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the company’s CRM system.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue growth objectives.
Designing, Sizing and Quoting for borehole, water pumps, water treatments irrigations, solar and generator systems.
Produce periodic reports to update company management on sales progress
Marketing of company products and services to prospective clients
Customer retention.
Field visits and assessments
Full Grade 12 certificate
Diploma in water / Solar engineering field
At least two (2) years’ work experience in such a similar role.
Proven experience in technical sales within the water and solar engineering sector.
In-depth knowledge of water treatment technologies, solar energy systems, and related engineering solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
Excellent Presentation, Planning and organizational skills.
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events as required.
Valid driver’s license is an added advantage
