Job Description

Job PurposeThe purpose of the Training Officer is to develop, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document training and support programs that build the capacity of health care workers, national, provincial and district officers, and program partners in using and adopting a national EHR and other related systems.Academic & Educational Qualification:Health related Degree or similarDiploma in Health Related Field is an added advantageKnowledge and Experience:knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles.knowledge of instructional design.knowledge of training methodologies.knowledge of learning management systems.knowledge of training and competency assessment, metrics and evaluations.3-5 years’ experience designing, developing and implementing training programs.Experience with a professional audience.Experience in implementing and ensuring quality controls and standards.Skills and Competencies:Effective communication skills; both written and oral.Strong organizational skills and structured thinking.Analytical skills, Instructional skills, Interpersonal skills, Facilitation skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments.Strong Organizational Skills and Structured thinking.Proficient in all Microsoft office programs, especially word,Excel,Adobe and other publication programs.Proficient in various elearning tools such as Moodle.Key Result Areas (Major Duties and Responsibilities):Post Training Support:Implement, support, monitor and document Post Training Support activities in assigned provinces.Ensure facilities have capable champion or Taskforce able to support usage of EHR and other systems.Ensure facilities have access to up to date training materials and job aids.Ensure implementation of required assessments to track competency and proficient as per training framework.Champion Facility user adoption of systems.Support User Acceptance Testing:Conduct Business Analysis and document summary user stories for systems enhancements based on requests made by users.Support Systems internal testing.Support joint application development(JAD) and User Acceptance Testing (UA).Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Content Creation:Work with other provincial training officers to develop/update training materials/tools and curricula as per the overall training framework, strategy and evolving training needs.Support the implementation of Learning Management Systems(LMS) via third-party vendor.Update Repository of information on upcoming, ongoing and past training for the assigned provinces.Monitoring and Quality Assurance:Effectively monitor and track overall training progress and training activities as per the M&E and Performance frameworks.Monitor and Evaluate the impact of training on the project goals and activities.Responsible for continuous learning and improvement of quality of training programs being implemented.Documentation and Reporting:Provide timely reports, metrics and analytics for senior management as and when required for overall project report and planning.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training is aligned to program deliverables and strategies.Ensure documentation of all training and capacity building sessions are captured electronically.Curation of all training materials and documents.Method of ApplicationInterested applicants meeting the above-mentioned requirements should send their job application and CV as a single document by email.
