Job Description

Locations: Lusaka x27, Luanshya x9, Ndola x15 and Livingstone x9
Reports to DREAMS Site Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for identifying the vulnerable adolescents and young women in the catchment community and link them with the mentors for further prevention and economic strengthening. She will ensure that there is stakeholder engagement in championing health for health for AGYWs include sexual reproductive health and other HIV prevention interventions. She will be responsible for providing mentorship to the DREAMS mentors.
Main duties
Collaborates with community leaders/DREAMS champions to identify safe space venues
Enters project data into the DREAMS DHIS2 database
Supports the DREAMS Center Manager with the day-to-day management of the center (filling of documents, re-stocking of supplies and other administrative tasks)
Provides support to DREAMS Mentors who will be running Safe Spaces within specific sites
Supports DREAMS Mentors and ensure that they are running quality Safe Spaces and meeting the needs of the AGYW
Acts as focal point persons between the DREAMS Centers and other facilities where AGYW will be referred to access services that will not be available at the Center
Conducts regular home visits to follow up on AGYW who do not frequently attend Safe Space meetings or attend the DREAMS Centers
Sensitizes parents and community members on the DREAMS initiative
Ensure that the center is open at all times and work according to the schedule.
Ensure that data is cleaned, address all duplicates, missing data elements, correct all errors on a daily, weekly and monthly basis,
Qualifications
Certificate diploma in Social Work, or health related field with a certificate in psychosocial counselling added advantage
Must be resident within the specific site for easy travel to DREAMS Centers and Safe Spaces and for easy community and stakeholder engagement
Certified Counsellor by the Counselling Council of Zambia and Rapid HIV Testing competence certificate
At least 2 years’ experience working with adolescents and young women (HIV prevention and service provision)
Good English-speaking skills, and knowledge of local language spoken in the implementation site
Empathetic, devoted and respectful individual with good interpersonal communication, team building, and writing skills.
Must be assertive and energetic
Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
