Cafe Choconilla is an ambitious restaurant in Kabwe, where we always aim to be the very best! We are now searching for more service oriented waiters.
As a waiter you are the face of the exceptional experience in terms of food, service and ambiance that we wish to offer our guests.
Job description as waiter:
Greet and escort customers to their table
Have good knowledge of our menu and ability to present it well to customers
Prepare tables by setting up linens, plates, glasses, decor etc.
Offer menu recommendations and be a good salesman
Take accurate food and drinks orders and use point of sale ordering software to process
Answer phone calls to take orders and manage reservations.
Ability to address personal requests on orders and ability to handle complaints professionally
Communicate order details to the kitchen staff
Serve food and drink orders
Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
Prepare bills and handle money from customer payments.
Carry dirty plates and glasses etc. to kitchen for cleaning
Follow all relevant health and hygiene regulations such as the covid-19 requirements.
Provide excellent customer service to guests which make them come back again and again.
Who are we looking for?
You are between 22 – 28 years old
A naturally nice personality eager to offer the best possible service
Work experience from the hospitality industry is an added advantage
Any education / training relevant for the position is and added advantage
Good physical appearance with attention to personal hygiene
Ability to cope with high pressure and still be able to smile
Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle conflicts
Passion for working in hospitality
You are fluent in English and have good communication skills (oral and written)
You must be computer literate and have good math skills
High work ethics and maturity
Attentive by nature in terms of service needs, security concerns, cleanliness etc.
Discretion and professionalism must come natural to you.
You are a team player who puts the customer’s and the company’s interest first.

We can offer you a good salary with added payment of service charge dependent on sales volume. The job is on a one year contract with a probation period of 3 months.
In this job you will develop your interpersonal skills and you will get good exposure in how to interact with high profile guests.
