We are looking to recruit a workshop admin officer with experience preferably in the transportation sector
RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing full administrative support to the workshop
Carrying out Vehicle inspections & Issuing job cards to workshop
Ensuring completed units are available for dispatch in a timely manner
Supervising General workers to ensure general tidiness of the Workshop and Yard at all times
Ensuring the integrity of data in the company vehicle maintenance spreadsheets
Daily workshop planning and setting up new tasks to make sure all vehicles and machines are in good condition at all times
Managing the workshop turnaround time and attendance system
Generating daily, weekly and monthly reports to be sent to management
Responsible for processing all vehicle repair estimates and ensuring efficient follow up on outstanding tasks
Identifying discrepancies and taking appropriate action to stop recurrences
Maintaining physical and digital records and files
Accountability of all workshop tools, equipment and machines, including checks to make sure everything is in good order.
Perform route cause analysis and prepare reports on all incidents and other unforeseen events
Performing vehicle diagnostics
Maintaining service schedule records
Preparing item requests for the workshop to complete assigned duties
REQUIRMENTS
3 years’ experience in a busy Workshop or similar field
Experience in work scheduling and planning
Extensive knowledge of all MS Office software, particularly MS Excel
Self-motivated and a fast learner who enjoys a varied role
Ability to communicate effectively and Proactive in approach to work
Ability to develop and build relationships across all levels from management to junior staff
Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
Capable of working to deadlines
Ability to identify and effectively solve problems
Ability to learn new tasks and skills quickly
Diploma or better in Auto mechanics/ engineering or similar field
