As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Workshop Assistant to oversee our workshop operations and drive efficiency and productivity.

Position: Workshop Assistant
Gender: Male or Female
Location: Northmead Lusaka
Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

Assist workshop manager and technicians in day-to-day operations, including preparing materials, tools, and equipment for projects.
Support with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of machinery and equipment under the guidance of experienced staff.
Organize and maintain inventory of workshop supplies and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
Clean and maintain workshop facilities, including work areas, tools, and machinery, to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and sanding materials as needed.
Help with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment for projects, following safety protocols.
Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality and efficiency in all tasks.
Assist in documenting project progress, including recording measurements and taking photographs as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a workshop or similar environment is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of tools and machinery commonly used in workshop settings.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
